Who is she?

Taylor Javens, better known as TJ, was born and raised in the Appalachian outskirts of Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by her massive Italian family. Beginning as a dancer at just age three, she was able to nurture her love of performance via the infamous Pittsburgh competitive dance scene. In high school, dance evolved into musical theater and she went from dancer to triple threat with the help of the Pittsburgh CLO and Stage West Performing Arts Center— just in time for college auditions. Accepted into the world renowned NYU Tisch School of the Arts, TJ moved to NYC where she currently spends most of her time. She found her passion for film via her Italian Studies minor. Italian films of yesteryear; the work of greats like Fellini and Visconti inspired TJ to finish her training through NYU’s Stonestreet Studios Film & TV Residency. This is where she was able to reach multi hyphenate status, writing, directing, and starring in two horror short films of her own titled Be Mine and Heroine as well as starring in several others.
